Poetry/Stories

From time to time I find myself writing poems, song lyrics or short stories - mainly poems I'll admit - so here's some I've made up, just on the spot with no incentive. Some have taken more thinking than others, but either way, they passed the time away (rhyme number 1 ;) )

The first poem I ever wrote

Okay so I was 7 and therefore you have to give me a break.
However, my teacher at the time called Mrs Hornsby seemed to love it, so much so that she felt the need to pin it to her filing cabinet. Made me proud that did - especially with it being pinned next to my drawing of a butterfly ^_^. Oh, how arty of me haha.
Anyway, here it is...
Lucy Locket
Told Jimmy to stop it
But Jimmy just went bananas!
HAHA, never said it was brilliant.

One of the most random poems I have wrote

Okay, so now and again I have a tendency to go off on a tangent and do something completely abnormal...okay, this may occur every day but that just makes life interesting! Why be the same when you can be different? Why be tame when you can live on the edge? Why be predictable when you can be a mystery? Anyway, here's a little poem that may lead you to think I'm off my rocker! I call it "The tune of life".

Once I did rhyme, to a merry old tune
But then nothing did cometh my way
When this lovely said tune, did become out of tune
Of why? I am perilous to say...
To bypass the matter - of the merry old tune
One thought how to jog on the time
A jog could be good, but would require a tune
Oh lord! That merry old rhyme.
That bypass did fail, so onto another
Again nothing did cometh my way
A nice cuppa! one thought, tis better than nowt
Of why? Tis needless to say.

Okay, so reading that over even I am slightly worried! But still, I had fun and now actually are sitting with a nice cup of tea :). Happy reading!
